Many people who want security cameras in their home or office are often looking for that quick fix. They go online and compare a few security camera systems. They find the one that looks like the best deal and go with something easy and cheap that they can just plug in, download an app and they can see the space they wanted to see. Being able to see the space is often confused for a perfect solution to the problem when in fact in not a proper solution at all. Yes, you can see things in the camera, but what happens when you really need to see details? Let’s say someone breaks into your home or office and steals your stuff, or even worse, hurts someone. You call the police and start going through the video footage. When the police arrive and find you have a camera installed they are thrilled right? Eh, not always! Many times the footage will give them some details but what about the specific details that are often a game-changer for catching and convicting those responsible? What kind of jacket was he/she wearing? What brand? What about their shoes, hair style/color? If the camera caught their vehicle that’s great! Can you see the license plate number? Let’s assume you did get the license plate number, but it was dark and the camera is in night vision mode, did you get good footage of the person(s) that broke in? Maybe that car was stolen, or maybe the person who owns the car says a friend borrowed it. The details are everything! After a robbery the last thing you want to do is regret not spending another few hundred dollars so the police could catch and convict the person(s) responsible!
